Just as a plant derives life from its roots, so too does man draw his sustenance from God. God is the source of life and nourishment. When you are disconnected from your source, it is called death. This disconnection can manifest not only physically but also spiritually and emotionally.
The Bible, in John 15:5 clearly states,: “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” This verse vividly illustrates the dependence we have on our Creator. Just as branches cannot survive without the vine, we cannot thrive without being connected to God. Our every need—be it physical sustenance, emotional support, or spiritual nourishment flows from Him.
Life’s trials and tribulations often challenge our sense of stability and provision. Yet, it is precisely in these moments of uncertainty that the sustaining power of God becomes most evident. He is not merely a provider in times of abundance but remains steadfast in times of need. The psalmist declares in Psalm 55:22, “Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.” This assurance invites you to rely wholly on God, trusting that He will sustain you through every season of life.
When you are disconnected from your source it is called death.” Stay connected to God, the true source of all sustenance, and experience the fullness of life He offers.
